Once you’ve created a Movie in Cinnamon and have played it and like it, its export time!

Exporting your Cinnamon movie is simple. Be sure:

• That you’re in the viewport you want to record (selected)
• The viewport mode is set to what you want
• A integer slider is plugged into the movie component with the right amount of frames set as the max of the slider
  • This is to ensure that the animation is done smoothly and that every frame is utilized.
  • Double click the slider to set it up properly

Right Click the slider plugged into your Movie and hit Animate. You will get a pop up window:

• Hit the Browse button to select the folder where you want to save the frames of your animation
• Specify the amount of frames in your movie. You can get this information from your Movie component.
• Specify the resolution you want to record the viewport at
• 🚨 Set the extension of the output from .bmp to .png 🚨

<aside> 💡 It is VERY important to change the extension from .bmp to .png so you can open it in Photoshop! The .bmp encoder in Grasshopper may give problems on photoshop import.

Once your frames have finished recording, you can compile your frames in Photoshop, Premiere or After Effects into one movie.

• Go to the folder where you exported your frames
